The location is excellent, set away from noise with ample parking and a comfortable atmosphere. The quirky decor, like packing trunks as bedside tables, adds charm. I opted for half board. the Indonesian food was delightful and well-portioned within the allowance. on a busy night, noise from nearby festivities was noticeable, and the rooms, while quirky, could benefit from a refresh.

perfect for weekend strolls and park visits near swindon
I had a lovely stay in a warm and clean room with a great shower, just a short walk from the beautiful Coate Water Country Park, making it perfect for weekend strolls, while the nearby local cafes added charm to my exploration experience.

A Charming Stay with Scenic Views
Spent two nights in a Superior Double Room and loved the stunning views from the property. Although breakfast timings were limited, the friendly bar staff directed me to a delightful café just five minutes away. Truly a gem for a relaxing getaway!

The room was clean and comfortable with a nice view, although I found the bar service to be a bit slow and the drinks could have been cooler. it was a pleasant stay despite some minor inconveniences, and I'd consider coming back for the lovely grounds and atmosphere.

This place was just a great match for a passing visit in Swindon with good price value. The breakfast was self-serve with some decent fruit options, which I appreciated for a quick start to the day. Just be careful with the toaster. it set off the smoke alarm!

The Fox & Hounds was perfect for our family getaway! The family room was spacious and had patio doors leading to a lovely private veranda, making it great for relaxing outside. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere throughout our stay.
The noise from the party was a bit disruptive at times.

great stay but room could be cozier
The location was perfect for our family weekend getaway, with easy access to local attractions. The breakfast delivered to our room was a convenient and satisfying start to the day.
The room lacked a bit of warmth in its decor.

The room had a charming little terrace, perfect for unwinding, though it could use some sprucing up. The countryside views were pleasing, offering a nice backdrop to the stay.
Though the terrace had potential, the seating mismatched and the hanging baskets were filled with dead flowers, which detracted from the overall appeal. The interior environment felt less inviting due to burn marks on the carpet and a damp wall that needed more than just a clean. the grounds were a bit of an eyesore, with rubbish haphazardly left outside the kitchen and unkempt grass, which could do with a serious trim. Disappointingly, breakfast wasn't as straightforward as advertised, with charges applied unexpectedly the next morning. the lighting in the room was overly bright due to the ceiling spotlights, leaving a desire for warmer bedside options.
